Walk forward for a cutscene that will explain what is going on in Transylvania.
Once you enter the the village you will be prompted to find the Forest God. After a quick cutscene with him, you’ll move on to the next tier.
You’ll find the owl near the small goblins on a wooden platform. Follow it south. The owl will lead you to Cucuvea’s Tree at (949, 543).
You’ll need to locate someone in the Besieged Farmlands that has a spyglass, or something like it. This is easy if you’ve been questing around, because you will have seen Zaha as a quest giving NPC. Go to her and you’ll be prompted to learn more about Transylvania from her. After asking her about Transylvania, you’ll be prompted to find the circus man in the forest. Follow the marker on your map to the circus man, which will take you to the next zone in Transylvania the Shadowy Forest. As soon as you exit the tunnel, you’ll find Mihas. Talk to him about the Romany to move on to tier 5.
When you get to Milosh a cutscene will play where he tells you about the Draculesti and Vlad Dracula. He also advises you to go seek out the prophecy the Draculesti were founded on, the coming of Mara, the vampire queen.
If you look at your map, there is a small marker at (289, 712). Head toward it, you’ll have to cut through the ruins to get there. Go to (194,746) on your map to reach a wooden catwalk. Follow it to where it dead ends at a tower.
Interacting with the book will spawn the architect and show you the following diary entry.
The journal entry has the following passage:
“I constructed his final resting place in the shadow of his own chapel. To be entrusted with this was an honor to me as an architect, but a source of misery as a man. The key is safe in my house in Iazmaciune. I hope this will ensure the sanctity he deserves, and preserve him from worshippers, defilers and seekers of prophecy alike.”
The architect’s home is marked on the map, so head northwest to look for the key.
After getting the key, you’ll need to look for records of the tomb; head to the quest marker on your map.
You’ll then get the following clue, “December, 1476. Behind his chapel we raised his crypt. Son of the Dragon, father of the Draculesti.” Go behind the chapel where you will find Dracula’s crypt. Before you can enter it, you’ll need to kill the House of Danesti Vandal. Use the key and enter the crypt.
Since we can’t read this, we’ll need to find someone who can.
Directly outside of the tomb you’ll find an owl. It will fly away when you get close. Follow it to your next destination.
Go to Anastasia near the Tree of Life.
As there is only one stream beside the Tree of Life, follow it to the source.
If you’re having trouble finding the spring, or you just got lost, head to (1165, 909) to find the source. At the source, you’ll be presented with a small puzzle involving some letters:
Once you solve it, gather water from the Water of Life. You’ll need to spell the word “life” in Romanian to unlock the water. The sequence for this is:
- 1st letter in the last row
- 4th letter in the first row
- 1st letter in the first row
- 2nd letter in the first row
- 4th letter in the last row
Head to the quest marker in order to locate the representation of death.
Once you’ve located the stream, follow it to the source of the Water of Death. Type /reset to kill yourself and you’ll be able to see the ghosts along the stream you need to follow.
After successfully locating the fountain, you’ll move on to the next tier.
We know that the Dragon is Dracula, and we also know that we’ve been to his tomb before. So head there. You’ll notice that the door to the tomb is no longer something with which you can interact. But you do know that the Architect said the tomb was somewhere near the chapel.
Go inside the chapel and you’ll see a casket that conceals the door. Once in the tomb, you’ll need to join the waters.
Self-explanatory, go into the pool and click on the water.
Interact with the various scriptures to figure out which is the eagle.
Since we don’t know who The Eagle is, we’ll need to go back and talk to Milosh. As you’re exiting the tomb, you’ll be ambushed by an assassin of Mara. Kill him and go talk to Milosh.
Milosh and his daughter Emilia will argue for a bit about who the Eagle is. She’s convinced it’s a man named Octavian.
If you look at your map, you’ll see that Octavian is in the southwest corner of the Shadowy Forest. Go there and speak to him.
Octavian will tell a story about how he is tired and has stopped believing, he just wants to be left alone. You’ll need to find something to convince him to help. There is a letter on a nearby table, pick it up.
If you exit the cabin, you’ll see Emilia just a few yards to the east. Talk to her to continue the quest line.
You’re going to need to kill a boar in order to attract some predators and put Emilia in danger.
Now that you have Octavian on your side, go back to Dracula’s tomb to resurrect him.
With the completed egg in your possession, it’s time to move on to the last zone in Transylvania, the Carpathian Fangs.
Go to the marker on your map and head to the next zone. Once you get to the next zone you’ll be able to send in your report and get some experience.
If you stand at (652, 1091), you’ll eventually see a Werewolf Messenger run past you, follow him.
He’ll disappear then a Vampiric Messenger will spawn, follow him to (889, 1141).
A Hybrid Messenger will spawn. Follow this messenger to (974, 953).
Wait for another Hybrid Messenger to spawn and follow him to (1047, 839). A cutscene will play and the next tier will start.
Follow Emma to the quest marker and a short cutscene will play.
Sometimes this tier will bug and automatically play the cutscene, like it did for me. In the event that this doesn’t happen, you’ll need to go to (629, 640) to continue.
You’ll need to locate “The One”. The only hint you have is that he was, “…there at the court of the Dragon. When it all happened, before…”
“The One” is Callisto who is located at (943,500).
Head to the marker on your map and enter through the door.
Once inside, you will need to find a way to unlock Mara’s chambers. As you continue through the lower parts of the castle you’ll run into some mobs that need to be killed. Take a left and continue towards the center. Be careful when attacking in this area, as AoE abilities will agro the enemies below you. Drop down to the sewer areas in order to kill the Refuse Collectors for the body parts you will need to place on the altar in the center, you’ll need 6 parts: Head, Left Arm, Left Leg, Right Arm, Right Leg and Torso. Once you’ve collected all of those pieces, go to the left wall and hug it, so you can avoid some of the Royal Sadists. Once you enter the chambers a cutscene will play.
Mara will channel a spell that does a massive AoE. Make sure you hide behind a statue to avoid damage. Once the fight is over, watch the cutscene and head outside.
Head to your quest marker to continue.
Now that Emma has destroyed the turrets you can continue forward. Unfortunately, you’re not a ghost like she is, so you’ll have to fight your way down the path. Once you’re at the platform, head up the stairs. Once you get to the top, go to the right and kill the two mobs. Next cross the crates and walk towards the Orochi van.
Jump off the ledge to continue.
Walk forward towards the cube. You will need to find a failing Gaia Engine.
Once you’ve gone through the portal, walk into the orange pool. You’ll be teleported to another of the purple portals.
In order to fix the Gaia Engine, you will need to tune it. Activate the third and sixth nodes.
Now you’ll need to find the next failing engine. Activate the 2nd node.
Now you’ll need to enter the crater. Run towards the center and you will find an entrance. You’ll be given the opportunity to repair the engine or destroy it.
